We're looking for a Lead Content Designer to join the Atlassian Intelligence (AI) Program Team. The Atlassian Intelligence Program involves both a centralized cross-functional business and federated product delivery teams; with the mission of accelerating the next generation of AI features to our customers. You’ll be the Content Design craft lead as part of the AI Leadership Team (LT) at Atlassian responsible for elevating AI content design experiences across the organization, working with product design teams and leadership to create and deliver a strategic design vision for next gen AI at Atlassian.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: 280,000
Zone B: 252,000
Zone C: 232,400
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the strategic vision and content design outcomes which provide a clear direction for our customer experiences across the AI landscape
  • Apply your systems thinking and ability to understand complex relationships between various products, channels, features to drive better content design outcomes
  • Have a strong skillset in content strategy, content operations and visual communications which enables you to communicate your work for influence and impact
  • Drive design reviews, design crits and be the content design craft leader to coach other designers to ensure consistent and cohesive AI experiences
  • Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional team members to create a unified content design view of AI capabilities across Atlassian
  • Drive content research to evaluate AI content patterns, and insights into language and approach
  • Lead design projects from creation to execution and be responsible tying back to customer value delivery and outcomes
  • Identify success metrics ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer value
  • Identify content design opportunities to enhance our products and accelerate AI and search experiences at Atlassian
  • Collaborate with some of the industry's smartest (and nicest) people. You'll work with Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to advocate for the user experience in our products and ship high-quality work
Your background:
  • 10+ years of content design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software
  • Experience in creating and delivering content strategy org wide which impact multiple delivery teams
  • Experience in end-to-end content design outcomes and impactful solutions to challenging problems
  • Passion for story-telling, the ability to bring design direction to life with compelling narrative
  • Experience balancing customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility
  • Facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to integrate the work of multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, and facilitate design discussions that lead company wide outcomes and positively influence future delivery roadmaps.
  • Experience in design systems, the ability to identify common content patterns and frameworks required to support a wide array of customer use cases.
  • Experience measuring success with qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Experience improving process and methodology to increase product value, team velocity and accelerate adoption of new capabilities
