ABOUT THE POSITION

The Human Resources Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Court’s Human Resources Administration by performing a wide range of complex and responsible clerical and technical functions with a high degree of accuracy, independence, and sound judgment in support of human resources functions and programs. Human Resources Technicians are expected to independently perform job assignments without close supervision and apply knowledge of HR policies, practices, laws, and guidelines learned through experience and training while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and serving as a dependable resource across HR functional areas.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY

Human Resources positions are located at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse or the Monrovia Training Center. This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the final filing date of this bulletin:


OPTION I: High school diploma or GED equivalent - AND - one (1) year of responsible clerical* experience in one or more human resources functions.


OPTION II: Associate's degree or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.


*To qualify for Options that require educational credentials, you must attach the required documentation to your application. For more information, please visit our Applicant Support page.


Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro rate basis (e.g. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.

ASSESSMENT: Applicants who best meet job-related qualifications will be invited to participate in the assessment process that may consist of any combination of written, performance, or oral appraisal to evaluate further job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.


ELIGIBILITY: Applicants who successfully pass each and all recruitment steps will be placed on an eligible list which will remain active for approximately one (1) year and may be invited to participate in a selection interview. Placement on an eligible list may not result in further consideration, only the most qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.
