Summary: The Benefits Administrator Benefits is responsible for responding to employee benefit inquiries, maintaining benefits system data quality, and auditing accounting functions associated with employee benefits while ensuring company compliance with state and federal government regulations.

Paid Time Off: Envision Healthcare offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.



Responsibilities
  • Supports the administration of various employee benefits programs, such as Group Health & Welfare, Retirement and Wellness initiatives.
  • Responds to employee Tier II & III inquiries by phone, email and Service Now case management, providing guidance and assistance, and troubleshooting and solutioning issues as needed.
  • Works with enrollment vendors to resolve employee issues/questions and resolving administrative issues with vendor representatives; identifying and escalating systemic and /or global issues, as needed.
  • Runs routine audits and resolves discovered issues using a variety of sources to ensure all plans are working appropriately and data integrity is maintained by monitoring in-bound and out-bound transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Is responsible for managing end to end process of eligible benefits for former employees.
  • Cross-trains on routine tasks to expand depth of knowledge and skills for professional development and support for the team.
  • Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge base, including articles, process maps, job aids and other relevant resources, to perform tasks. 
  • Provides outbound phone support when needed for complex issues requiring additional clarification or education. 
  • Assesses escalated inquiries to determine if they could have been resolved at Tier 1, providing feedback and education to the Tier 1 team to help them handle similar cases independently in the future. 
  • Partners with other departments to obtain supplemental information, if available. 
  • Understands adjacent service teams’ support structure to escalate uncommon or complex inquiries to the appropriate contacts. 
  • Documents resolution to uncommon queries to help build appropriate knowledge-based articles and inform smoother workflows. 
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance and expand documentation. 
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives, aiming to identify and address the root causes of duplicative tickets and recurring issues.

  • Communicates effectively during potentially stressful situations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of related experience required
  • Associate degree preferred.

The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $27 to $35, depending on geographic location. As this is a temporary role, it is not benefits-eligible; however, it does include holiday pay
