DescriptionProject Manager – Custom Lighting Design & Production
Help turn high-end lighting concepts into finished, beautifully engineered products.
We’re looking for a Project Manager who understands both design and manufacturing, someone who can read technical drawings, manage timelines, communicate with clients, and keep multiple custom projects moving from concept to completion without missing a detail.
This is not a generic PM role. You’ll be the bridge between design, CAD, production, vendors, and clients, making sure every fixture is correctly spec’d, approved, built, and delivered exactly as promised.
RequirementsWhat You’ll Own
1. Technical & Design Coordination
- Review client submissions and confirm that specs are accurate and manufacturable
- Approve CAD drawings, spec sheets, and documentation before production begins
- Ensure every detail, materials, dimensions, finishes, is correct before anything is built
2. Project Flow & Client Communication
- Manage timelines, follow up proactively, and close open loops quickly
- Keep clients updated and aligned at every stage
- Serve as the main point of contact between design, production, and vendors
3. Vendor & Production Oversight
- Coordinate with vendors on materials, feasibility, and lead times
- Track remote production progress, verify drawing accuracy, and greenlight next steps
- Protect design integrity and quality at every stage of manufacturing
4. Documentation & Accuracy
- Maintain clean, organized records and project documentation
- Mark up drawings and provide precise notes when corrections are needed
- Ensure leadership always has visibility into status and risks
What You Need to Succeed
- Proven project management experience in design, lighting, fabrication, or manufacturing
- Strong technical literacy, able to read and mark up drawings with confidence
- CAD and Adobe Illustrator proficiency (required)
- Excellent English communication skills (written + spoken, neutral accent)
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and keep projects on schedule
- Sharp attention to detail, high accountability, and proactive follow-through
- Experience working with remote production teams is a major plus
Who Thrives in This Role
- A technical problem-solver who speaks both “design” and “production”
- Someone who loves clarity, clean drawings, and organized systems
- A professional communicator who represents the brand well with clients and vendors
- A zero-drama operator who owns outcomes, not tasks
- A detail-obsessed project finisher who closes loops, not just opens them
