Teneo School is looking for a creative and experienced Design Teacher to join our IEB FET Phase (Grades 10–12). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that develop learners’ conceptual thinking, creativity, and practical design skills in line with the IEB curriculum.
This role requires a teacher who can guide learners through both the theoretical and practical components of Design, including the development of portfolios and PATs (Practical Assessment Tasks), while maintaining strong academic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design lessons aligned to the IEB curriculum (Grades 10–12)
- Guide learners through the design process, including research, conceptual development, and final product creation
- Support and manage PATs and portfolio development, ensuring compliance with IEB requirements
- Create and manage course content on the LMS (Canvas) in line with internal standards
- Set, moderate, and mark assessments in accordance with academic policies and IEB guidelines
- Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback to learners
- Track and report on learner progress and performance
- Maintain consistent communication with learners and parents via approved platforms
- Collaborate with Phase Heads and Subject Leads to ensure alignment and quality
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching Design in Grades 10–12
- Strong familiarity with the IEB curriculum and assessment requirements
- Experience managing PATs and preparing learners for IEB assessments
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to engage learners effectively in an online environment
- Technologically proficient (experience with LMS platforms such as Canvas is advantageous)
