Empowered Services is a one-on-one attendant care agency providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) support and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in their own homes.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 in-home care and support for an individual in the Yamhill County area.

In this role, you will:

• Support daily living activities (ADLs)
• Build a positive, consistent relationship
• Promote independence and skill development
• Administer medications, safely assist with physical movement, and assist with bathroom usage and tube feeding.
• Provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care

This position is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, and comfortable with hands-on care and medical support needs.

About the Individual You’ll Support

You will be supporting an individual who:

• Enjoys music, art activities, and interactive play
• Communicates non-verbally
• Benefits from structured routines and simple choices
• Requires hands-on support, including mobility assistance and medication administration
• May experience seizures and requires calm, attentive care

Schedule

• Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (flexible up to 4:00 PM)

Pay & Benefits

• $23–$25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Full-time employees (30+ hours/week) are eligible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ADL support (hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility)
• Assist with medication administration
• Support community access and social engagement
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior supports
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment
• Communicate updates with care teams and coordinators
• Document care activities as required

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current auto insurance (meeting state requirements)
• Ability to pass a background check (not all records are disqualifying)
• Comfortable providing personal care support

Preferred (not required):

• Experience in caregiving, DSP, CNA, or healthcare roles
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD
• CPR/First Aid certification
