This position is a Fiscal Services Administrator within the Financial Management Division with management responsibility in various aspects of the Division’s ongoing operations. The core responsibilities of this position include leadership of the financial management division, advanced level budgeting, ongoing financial management including variance analyses and monthly budget forecasting, auditing, and financial analyses and modeling including compilations of fiscal notes for Bills presented by the legislature. These tasks are critical for the Division to carry out its mission effectively.
This position is essential to the development, preparation and management of the agency’s budget to ensure attainment of sufficient budgetary resources with a $266 million operating/capital budget. The incumbent is relied upon to provide informed analysis and oversight of the budget process from its initial development to its ongoing execution. Financial management responsibilities are also a significant aspect of this position. This includes monitoring incoming agency revenues to ensure adherence to the agency’s legislative cost recovery mandate and developing corrective action when needed, oversight of the agency’s State/Federal grant financial reporting requirements and development of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) schedules.

Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a closely related field is required
Experience: Six (6) years of professional experience in budget administration, governmental accounting, financial management, auditing, or fiscal analysis, preferably within a public-sector or large, complex organization. Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
