The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for the implementation and execution of Human Resources programs through partnership and support from the HR Centers of Excellence. Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to the Area Operations Management Team, the HRBP will provide insight and guidance regarding overall employee experience, talent solutions, retention, employee relations, communications, policy interpretation, organizational development, wage, and salary administration.
In this role, you will support our Canada East, Area Operations Team, with travel throughout the East Coast providing day-to-day consultation and guidance to management and employees. You will be responsible for assisting with the timely implementation of HR goals and programs as defined by the business.

What you'll do:
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the core HR competencies including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, employment law, organizational development, talent development and training, mentoring/coaching/facilitation, workforce planning and an overall understanding of HR policies and programs and other terms and conditions of employment, along with an understanding of HR best practices.
Learn the business and take an active interest in continually enhancing your business acumen.
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously with agility and planning and time management skills to adapt to shifting demands.
Communicate with and influence a broad and diverse range of stakeholders through building effective relationships with verbal and written communication.
You’ll coach and mentor leaders and employees on a variety of topics including performance, team effectiveness and engagement.
Foster a positive, inclusive culture where employees feel heard and valued.
Use analytics to inform talent decisions and measure impact as you partner with leadership and inform decision-making.
Experience with handling HR functions in multiple locations is highly preferred.
Participate in special projects as needed.

What you bring:
Post secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; CHRP designation (or working toward) strongly preferred.
Must be fluently bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, supporting leaders in complex environments.
Experience working in a Unionized environment
Advanced working knowledge of employment and labour law, employee relations, total rewards, workforce planning, organizational development, and HR policies, with the ability to translate risk and legislation into practical, business aligned advice.
Strong proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), using analytics and insights to support strategic and financial decision making.
Demonstrated business acumen and experience partnering cross functionally (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations, IT) to drive organizational effectiveness and change.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with a strong track record of building trust, alignment, and consensus.
Proven ability to solve complex problems using sound judgment, analytical thinking, and creativity, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Must be able to travel within Eastern Canada, with an estimated travel requirement of 25%.
Salary: $82,300 - $102,800 annually (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
