General Summary
The IT Support Specialist provides frontline technical assistance to employees across all company locations, ensuring the smooth operation of Pisces Healthcare Solutions’ technology infrastructure and business systems. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues, supporting enterprise systems.
The IT Support Specialist acts as a key partner to the IT Manager in maintaining system reliability, optimizing performance, and implementing user-focused solutions that enhance productivity companywide. This position requires strong service orientation, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication to translate complex technical issues into user-friendly guidance. Contributes to continuous improvement of IT processes and tools that enable the company’s mission to serve veterans efficiently and securely.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure equipment and systems for new employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve employee technical issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Manage and resolve issues related to email, spam filters, and phone systems.
- Provide assistance with company platforms including CRM, ERP, Telecommunication and Logistics.
- Address Wi-Fi and internet connectivity issues.
- Assist with printer setup and troubleshooting.
- Respond to and resolve E-commerce platform issues promptly.
- Provide support with PowerPoint presentations for CRM and NS meetings.
- Manage backlog emails and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
- Monitor and respond to employee requests for technical support via email and phone.
- Maintain and update documentation of system configurations and technical processes.
- Work closely with IT Manager to support the company’s systems.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions to the team effectively.
- Recommend improvements to existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft 365 Administrator strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Database Management, E-Commerce, Search Optimization software, Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM, ShipHawk, NetSuite, and Vonage systems is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, and network issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical requirements
- This position operates primarily in an office or warehouse environment and requires the ability to:
- Sit for extended periods while working at a computer or on the phone.
- Occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds (such as monitors, desktop units, printers, or networking gear).
- Perform fine motor tasks, such as connecting cables, assembling hardware, and using hand tools for equipment setup or maintenance.
- Travel occasionally between company facilities to provide onsite technical support, as needed.
- Maintain visual and auditory acuity sufficient to operate computer systems, diagnose technical issues, and communicate clearly with team members.
Work Environment
- Works in a hybrid office and warehouse environment, supporting employees both onsite and remotely across multiple company locations.
- Performs duties primarily in an office setting with moderate noise levels and frequent use of computers, phones, printers, and other standard office equipment.
- May occasionally work in warehouse areas with higher noise levels, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Regularly communicates with employees across departments via phone, email, chat, and remote-access tools.
- May travel occasionally to other company facilities for system installations, upgrades, or onsite troubleshooting.
- Occasionally required to work after hours or on weekends to perform system maintenance, software updates, or respond to urgent support issues.
