Position Description

This is a PROMOTIONAL posting is for a full-time Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion Support Specialist (Systems Programmer II).  This posting is for a full-time Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion Support Specialist (Systems Programmer II). The Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for our Oracle ERP applications. This role requires a foundational understanding of Oracle ERP modules, with a focus on customer experience within Finance, Purchasing, and Budget. The ideal candidate will possess good problem-solving skills, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience as an Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion Support Specialist or similar role.
  • Understanding of Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion modules, specifically Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets), Purchasing, and Budget.
  • Understanding of financial processes, procurement workflows, and budgeting principles within an ERP context.
  • Good customer service skills with a willingness to build positive relationships with users.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve common technical issues.
  • Experience with incident management and ticketing systems.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Provide timely technical support to end-users for Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion applications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve common issues related to Finance, Purchasing, and Budget modules within Oracle ERP. 
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve common ERP interchange issues related to data coming into and leaving the system. 
  • Create and maintain Oracle ERP reports for operational needs. 
  • Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and assist in finding solutions. 
  • Assist with the configuration, testing, and deployment of Oracle ERP enhancements and updates under guidance. 
  • Develop and maintain basic documentation for support procedures and common issues. 
  • Monitor system performance and report on areas for improvement. 
  • Participate in testing and validation of new features and functionalities. 
  • Work closely with other IT teams and Oracle support to escalate and resolve complex issues.  
  • Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on Oracle Cloud ERP functionalities.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in mathematics, public or business administration, or a related field, including or supplemented by specialized training in electronic data processing, programming, operations, and methodologies; and two or more years of experience in telecommunications, computer operating systems, and database management.

The U.S. Department of Education maintains a database of accrediting agencies it recognizes for schools within the United States. For a University or College outside the United States, the applicant must provide documentation of accreditation and educational equivalency, which can be accomplished through a credential evaluation service. Applicants with a foreign degree must provide this documentation upon the close of the announcement. 

Note: The Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in mathematics, public or business administration, or a related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with four (4) or more years of work experience in *Oracle ERP Environments*.  Experience must still be supplemented by specialist training in electronic data processing, programming, operations, and methodologies.

Supplemental Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of work experience as an Oracle ERP Support Specialist or similar role.
  • Prior work experience in Oracle ERP modules, specifically Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets), Purchasing, and Budget.
  • Prior work experience and understanding of financial processes, procurement workflows, and budgeting principles within an ERP context.
  • Prior work experience creating and integrating new interfaces for an Oracle ERP Implementation.
  • Prior work experience in diagnosing and fixing issues with financial, budget, and purchasing data exchanges.
  • Prior work experience with incident management and ticketing systems.
  • Prior work experience in writing operational reports for an ERP system.
  • Prior work experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other integration tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Oracle database concepts.
  • Familiarity with Local Government
