This is an exempt level position.
Position Summary:
The Pet Nutrition Technical Support Manager is responsible for providing expert guidance and support to ADM pet nutrition customers and internal teams regarding pet formulations and ADM products and services. This role involves offering technical advice (including formulation services), troubleshooting issues, and ensuring product education are effectively communicated to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal nutrition, pet food/treats formulation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage technical inquiries and projects efficiently. This remote role is ideal for someone who is passionate about pet health and nutrition, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a customer-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales Support and Expertise:
- Partner with account managers in a team-selling approach to provide technical assistance and expert advice to external pet customers regarding ADM products and services
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to pet nutrition, industry trends, formulation needs, and ADM ingredients for pet applications
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve concerns related to product performance or customer feedback
- Responsible for Product Management for specific ADM Pet ingredients including defining, developing, and executing the product strategy. This role serves as the bridge between business, technology, and user experience teams, ensuring alignment and successful product delivery
- Customer Education and Training:
- Develop and deliver training programs, presentations, and educational materials for internal teams and customers
- Conduct webinars, workshops, and seminars to promote understanding of pet nutrition and product benefits
- Stay updated on industry trends and scientific developments to ensure accurate and current information is shared
- Product Development and Application Improvements:
- Collaborate with ADM research teams to provide insights into customer needs and feedback
- Assist in the formulation and improvement of pet nutrition products based on market demands and scientific advancements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for pet food and supplements
- Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with customers, pet industry stakeholders and internal colleagues and leaders
- Act as the key point of contact for technical product-related inquiries and support
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and services
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and research teams to align technical support strategies with business goals
- Provide training and guidance to internal staff on technical aspects of pet nutrition products
- Strong knowledge of pet food formulations, nutritional requirements, and industry regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with a diverse audience
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible manner
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Experience writing and reviewing technical articles for scientific, marketing or trade publications
- Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, Animal Biology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pet nutrition, veterinary support, or a related technical field
- Experience in customer service or technical sales support is a plus
