Project Manager, Support Services

 

Position Profile

Independently, or under the general direction of a Senior Project Manager, manages high-priority projects that require significant resources and cross-functional collaboration. Serves as the primary point of contact from contract award through steady-state operations. Interfaces with all impacted areas, including internal teams, external stakeholders, and third-party vendors. Ensures compliance with established processes and policies. May provide status updates to executive management (internal and external) on project progress.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review project proposals, contracts, and Statements of Work to determine timelines, budget constraints, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
  • Develop work plans and staffing strategies for each project phase; coordinate recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Collaborate with project staff to outline work plans, assign responsibilities, and define scope of authority.
  • Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure timely progress within budget.
  • Prepare status reports and adjust schedules or plans as needed; deliver project reports to management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities among internal resources, regulatory agencies, third-party contractors, suppliers, service providers, and customer teams.
  • Adhere to and apply the Ricoh Methodology Framework.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by PMO Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience.
  • PMP certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong presentation skills for clients and senior management.
  • Problem-solving ability to address complex issues with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagram, schedule).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and publish comprehensive project performance reports.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Remote work capability required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
