Please note: The salary range above represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $116,956 to $192,054, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Public Health Services is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and results-oriented leader to serve as the Senior Administrator for Maternal and Child Health. This executive leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of maternal and child health in Montgomery County by leading innovative programs, advancing health equity, strengthening community partnerships, and driving system-wide transformation to improve outcomes for children and families. The Senior Administrator for Maternal and Child Health serves as the County's executive leader for maternal and child health, providing strategic direction and oversight for one of Montgomery County's largest and most visible public health service areas. This position leads the development, integration, and continuous improvement of maternal and child health programs to improve maternal and infant health outcomes, reduce health disparities, strengthen organizational performance, and ensure equitable access to high-quality services. The Senior Administrator partners with County leadership, healthcare providers, community organizations, and state and federal agencies to advance innovative public health strategies, shape policy, secure resources, and build a coordinated maternal and child health system that meets the evolving needs of Montgomery County's diverse communities. Experience: Seven years of progressively responsible professional leadership experience in public health, maternal and child health, healthcare administration, or a closely related field, including at least three (3) years of experience supervising managers or leading multidisciplinary teams.
Note: The term “executive” is further defined as a high echelon or high-level position in an organization that is assigned technical research, management advisory services responsibilities, or policy-making duties and responsibilities that exerts considerable influence on organizational policy, plans, and operations through technical research, management advisory services, and/or policy-making duties and responsibilities (e.g., County positions at Grade 30 or above).
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
License: Possession of a valid Class "C" (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence when required for job-related duties.
Preferred experience: Candidates who have three (3) or more years of experience supervising managers or leading multidisciplinary teams are highly desirable. Candidates who have multilingual skills in Spanish to English are encouraged to apply.
