Our Story


Position Overview

We're looking for a Senior HR Generalist who thrives in early-stage, high-growth startup environments and wants to have a meaningful impact on building processes, systems, and programs that enable mpathic to grow and support our amazing people. Your mission is to work closely with our Chief Operating Officer to own the recruiting, employee, and contractor life cycle  and help build out the infrastructure that scales with us through our next funding round and beyond. You'll report to the Chief Operating Officer and manage external HR and Recruiting teams to deliver high impact results.


This is a full-time role, remote-friendly with a preference for Seattle and overlap with the Pacific Time Zone, with a clear path to grow with the company as it scales. 


What You’ll Accomplish

In your first 2 months you’ll…

  • Take over managing and leading recruiting and hiring talent pipelines to support growth, with a focus on efficiency and values alignment.
  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer to develop a more comprehensive onboarding process for new hires.
  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer to execute on processes and strategies to manage our robust external expert and contractor base.
  • Do a roadmap of programs, strategies, and processes for Human Resources to accelerate growth and help our company scale. 


In your first year you’ll…

  • Help identify and implement performance management processes.
  • Help review and implement best practices for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding FTEs and contractors. 
  • Help draft and implement a comprehensive compensation philosophy and program. 
  • Implement scalable systems across the organization. 
  • Work with leadership to ensure employees are able to achieve success and receive appropriate trainings. 
  • Develop scalable processes in all stages of an employee life cycle. 
  • Help ensure the company is fully compliant with laws and regulations. 
  • Develop in house resources and tools for managers.  


You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…

  • Have 6–10+ years of Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition experience 
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem solving abilities, with a bias for action
  • Proven ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguous and ever-changing environments.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver results. 


About the Team

You’ll work with the:

  • Chief Operating Officer(Direct Manager)
  • Cross-Functional Leaders (Product, Clinical, GTM, Ops)
  • You'll partner with department heads to recruit the top priority roles and roll out management tools and resources. 


Our Hiring Process

  • Step 1: 20-minute recruiter or hiring manager screen
  • Step 2: 45-minute hiring manager interview
  • Step 3: 2x30-minute interviews with key stakeholders
  • Step 4: Offer 🎉


Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $185,000/year
