Senior Salesforce Administrator - Maternity Cover

Focus: Sales Cloud & Service Cloud | Close partnership with Operations, Sales &
Commercial Teams

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Administrator (Maternity cover) to own the
day-to-day management, optimisation, and enhancement of our Salesforce Sales Cloud and
Service Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of partnering with Operations, Sales, and Commercial teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient Salesforce solutions. This role will ensure our platform is reliable, user-friendly, and continuously evolving in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Administration & Platform Ownership

  • Serve as a senior administrator for Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud across
    multiple business units, working within our Agent Tooling team on initiatives.

  • Manage user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, queues, sharing rules, and security
    settings.

  • Maintain and optimise page layouts, record types, Lightning apps, Lightning pages, and
    compact layouts.

  • Build and enhance reports, dashboards, and list views to support performance tracking
    and insights.

  • Oversee data governance, including data imports, data quality, duplication management,
    and hygiene processes.

Enhancements, Configuration & Automation

  • Configure and maintain flows (Record-Triggered, Screen, Scheduled Flows), validation
    rules, formula fields, custom objects, and automation that improves business processes.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and support users by resolving Salesforce-related queries.

  • Manage and refine case management processes, lead lifecycle, opportunity stages, and
    sales/service workflows.

  • Ensure Salesforce remains aligned with industry best practices and platform updates.
    Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Commercial, and Customer Service teams to
    understand their processes, challenges, and requirements.

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering Manager on extensive transformation
    initiatives, including rearchitecture of the wider agent tooling tech stack, with Salesforce
    at its core.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Salesforce native
    functionality wherever possible.

  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and backlog refinement to prioritise
    enhancements.

  • Communicate technical concepts in clear, accessible language to non-technical
    stakeholders.

Project & Release Management

  • Lead small to medium Salesforce enhancement projects from concept to deployment.

  • Coordinate and conduct UAT, gather feedback, and ensure successful release cycles.

  • Document configuration, processes, and system changes to maintain an up-to-date
    knowledge base.

Skills & Experience

  • Breadth of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience, ideally in Senior or Lead
    roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud (Leads, Opportunities, Forecasting, Products,
    Quotes) and Service Cloud (Cases, Omni-Channel, Knowledge).

  • Proven experience working directly with Operations, Sales and Commercial
    stakeholders to gather, refine, and implement requirements.

  • Extensive experience with Flow and modern Lightning configuration tools.

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce security, sharing, and data management best
    practices.

  • Experience working in fluid, fast-paced, cross-functional environments
    (contract/consulting experience beneficial).

  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or relevant
    Consultant certifications preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Billing, Customer Experience tools, or third-party integrations.

  • Experience with setup and integrations of enterprise platforms outside of Salesforce.

  • Background in industries with high operational complexity (e.g., field service,
    marketplaces, B2B sales) and/or Marketplaces.

  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies or ShapeUp.

This role will be remote.
