This role offers an exciting opportunity to act as a key technical expert within a modern workplace and collaboration environment centered on Microsoft 365. You will play a critical part in shaping how employees access, share, and manage information across the organization through SharePoint Online and related M365 tools. Working within a collaborative IT team, you will support large-scale migration initiatives, enhance governance frameworks, and improve the overall digital workplace experience. You will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly collaboration solutions. Accountabilities:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for SharePoint Online and OneDrive within a Microsoft 365 enterprise environment.
- Support the day-to-day engineering, administration, and optimization of core M365 services including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and Azure/Entra ID.
- Lead and support enterprise migration initiatives from legacy file shares to SharePoint Online.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to integrate M365 collaboration tools with enterprise applications and workflows.
- Implement and support governance, provisioning, and compliance solutions using third-party tools such as AvePoint.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient collaboration platforms aligned with enterprise standards.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across SharePoint and broader M365 services while ensuring strong end-user experience.
- Contribute to platform enhancements, automation opportunities, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for collaboration tools adoption and usage across the organization.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in Information Technology with a strong focus on SharePoint.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and engineering.
- Strong expertise in SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, and Azure/Entra ID.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Microsoft security technologies in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of enterprise collaboration platforms and end-user productivity solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues in M365 environments.
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional IT and business teams.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on user experience and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is an asset.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of AvePoint Cloud Governance or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Experience in regulated industries is an advantage.
