This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of PlainID - The Identity Security Company. We are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to be a key contributor in delivering exceptional technical support for enterprise-grade solutions in cloud-native environments. You will work closely with customers to resolve complex technical issues, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, innovative environments, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and ownership. This position allows you to influence both customer satisfaction and product development, while gaining exposure to modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and leading cloud platforms. You will be an essential bridge between clients and engineering teams, ensuring smooth deployments and ongoing operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Take full ownership of customer-reported issues, managing the lifecycle from identification to resolution.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and reproduce complex technical issues across cloud-native environments.
  • Assist customers with installations, upgrades, and configuration to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product, and QA teams to escalate and resolve challenging technical problems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge-base articles, and best practices to improve team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively provide feedback and insights to influence product improvements and prevent future issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing timely support for urgent customer needs.



Requirements
  • 5+ years of technical support experience with enterprise software and cloud services.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex environments, including Networking, Linux, SQL databases, and REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend or holiday support.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience in a startup or rapidly scaling tech environment.
  • Hands-on scripting experience (Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
