Salary/Hiring Range: $66,703.00 -$85,061.00

Hours:  Monday -Friday    /   8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

 Passionate about innovative and creative instructional design for videos and flyers content; Creates and conducts presentations/training virtually and in person; Proficient with Adobe Suite Pro, Canva or other design creation platform. Experience with collaboration and outreach with all levels of the organization to influence management about department specific training. Develops surveys or other types of assessments to track effectiveness of training; Devoted to providing data analysis and oversight of department and training data.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develops training content; administers training programs including program performance evaluation; performs quality control of reports that are distributed to customers; develops training performance measures; and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepares, maintains, reviews, and/or processes training reports and other documents as assigned; updates and maintains training databases, online systems, and department webpages; research updates, compiles, analyzes, and/or reviews information as assigned.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes information; prepares reports; manages programs and/or processes; consults with management and other staff; performs special projects; serves as a liaison to other City departments; develops performance measures; assisting with strategic planning.
  • Collaborates with, and serves as a liaison to, City management and departments; attends meetings to provide consultation and professional assistance; coordinates public outreach. 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in instructional design, education technology, business, public administration or directly related field.
  • Two years of professional experience in training, instructional design and/or educational technology.


Additional Preferred Skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • An organized self-starter.
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models, lessons and curriculum planning skills.
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
  • Association of Talent Development certifications.
