The Opportunity
Are you looking for a great opportunity to gain work experience? We are seeking to fill an entry level position on an Digital Learning project. Task specific training provided. This position is based on-site in our Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia office.
At LearnNorth, we work with industry leading USA K-12 virtual schools and lend an extra hands by providing Education Technology Support services of their Learning Management System (LMS). A LMS is a software application for the delivery of digital courses or training programs.
For this Migration Specialist position, successful applicants will be responsible for moving courses from one LMS to other popular LMS platforms such as Agilix Buzz, Blackboard, D2L Brightspace, Instructure Canvas, Its Learning, Moodle, and Schoology.

Timeline:
- Position Type: Temporary Full-Time - 2 positions available
- Term Start date: ASAP until August 31, 2026
- Requires availability of 37.5 hours a week, weekdays, 9 am - 5 pm Atlantic time zone. This position follows a USA holiday schedule.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
In this role, you will report to the Migration team's manager. Responsibilities include:
- Load course content (lesson content, quizzes, assignments, and discussions) from master locations into various Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Update LMS settings for quizzes, assignments, and discussions
- Perform side-by-side quality assurance review to ensure the delivery was completed successfully.
- Other related tasks, as needed
What you'll need
Qualifications
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to follow given procedures and instructions, client / company guidelines and policies
- Interest in and ability to learn new tasks and pick them up reasonably quickly
- Communication skills, including proficiency with written and oral English
- Quality assurance experience
- Proficient on a computer and comfortable using browser-based applications
- LMS experience with Admin or Course Builder access an asset
- Some post-secondary education
- Successfully pass Criminal Record Check (CRC)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada and currently reside in Canada.
