About the Role: Sawdey Solution Services is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Subject Matter Specialist to provide advanced technical expertise, systems analysis, and engineering guidance for complex IT and operational environments. This role supports high-level planning, design, integration, and implementation activities for mission-critical systems and requires deep subject-matter knowledge to successfully address exceptionally complex engineering challenges.

The Engineering SME will engage across all phases of the system and software development lifecycle with an emphasis in planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation, and technical presentations—ensuring engineering rigor, accuracy, and mission success.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

• Provide expert-level technical knowledge and analysis for highly specialized applications and operational environments.
• Conduct high-level functional systems analysis, design, and integration to address exceptionally complex engineering problems.
• Develop and deliver detailed technical documentation, recommendations, and implementation guidance.
• Support planning, modeling, simulation, testing, and integration efforts throughout the full software and system development lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical reviews, architecture assessments, risk evaluations, and engineering decision-making.
• Present technical findings, briefings, and recommendations to program leadership, government stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure design concepts, user requirements, and integration approaches align with mission objectives and technical standards.

Experience Requirements:

• Ten (10) years of relevant technical and engineering experience.

Certificate, License, and Registration Requirements:

• DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification: IAT Level II or IAM Level II
• Computing Environment Certification: CCNP or CCNP-Enterprise

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrated expertise solving complex engineering and system integration challenges.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting government programs or mission-critical IT environments.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
