Adava Care is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to provide administrative support to our Human Resources department. The role involves managing employee records, assisting with recruitment, scheduling interviews, onboarding new hires, and handling daily HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. This is a full-time (30-40 hours/week), remote position with flexible hours during standard business hours 8AM-5PM CST. The Company is based in the greater Milwaukee area.
HR Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Post job openings on various platforms and job boards.
- Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Schedule and manager HR events, including interviews and orientations.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and schedule orientation sessions, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for all new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with state and company requirements for record-keeping.
- Manage and organize HR department emails and schedules.
- Respond promptly to candidate and new hire inquires, providing accurate information and assistance as needed.
HR Assistant Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Calendar, and Gmail, with experience in creating professional documents, managing schedules, and maintaining effective communication and organization.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to prioritize tasks according to deadlines.
- Collaborative team player who excels at working independently while knowing when to seek assistance to ensure success.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong follow-through skills, ensuring task are completed accurately and on time.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
HR Assistant Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Healthcare or Assisted Living industry experience.
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role in a business environment.
- Familiarity with job boards and recruitment platforms is desirable.
- Proven ability to independently learn and use various software applications.
Work schedule
