Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for administering and maintaining the Human Resources department, including, but not limited to, staffing, onboarding/training, benefits and compensation, employee relations, compliance, and records and payroll.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Staffing:  Managing the Applicant Tracking System, job descriptions, post openings, screening candidates, and facilitating interviews.
  • Onboarding & Training:  Participating in orientation for new hires, managing onboarding documentation, and coordinating personnel placement.
  • Benefits & Compensation:  Managing benefits enrollment, salary administration, and explaining policies to employees.
  • Employee Relations:  Addressing employee queries, investigating disputes, advising management, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Compliance & Records:  Maintaining accurate employee data, records, and ensuring adherence to legal standards (e.g., EEO, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.) and company procedures and policies, along with managing the Employee Handbook.
  • Payroll: Ensuring timecard discrepancies are cleared, timecards are approved appropriately, and payroll time files are submitted timely.  This includes reviewing prechecks and managing SOE payroll as the primary payroll contact for SOE.

Education/Experience

            ·   Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or equivalent.

· Experience:

o  Minimum of two (2) years working in a human resources office as an HR Manager/Generalist/Coordinator.

o Experience with multi-faceted network-related software and database management systems.

o Experience multi-tasking with the ability to manage competing demands, set priorities, and provide timely responses to urgent issues.

o Experience problem-solving.

o Experience adapting to new conditions and assignments.

o Experience working remotely is preferred.

· Certification and Licensure

o State driver's license.
