POSITION SUMMARY
DEFINITION
Under supervision, to perform a variety of clerical and reception duties in support of professional and other staff which include data entry/retrieval of information, typing, and word processing; and performs other related duties to the position. The duties assigned positions in this class require a high degree of clerical proficiency.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way would be:
Education
Completion of high school or equivalent
Experience
Minimum of one year in a clerical work experience preferably in a health care industry.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Hospital established policies quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures.
Medical Terminology.
Modern office practices and procedures including filing and operating standard office equipment.
Ability to:
Understand and follow oral and written directions
Perform general clerical work.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees.
Work effectively under stress and in emergency relationships with the public and fellow employees
