Job Summary:

The Member Support Specialist (MSS) partners with Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) Member Companies to provide business support, drive service adoption, and promote growth. This role focuses on creating a high-value member experience by helping Member Companies operate efficiently, profitably, and competitively.

The MSS manages a large portfolio of Member accounts across assigned regions, providing consultative support primarily via video, phone, and digital channels, with limited travel as needed. The primary goal is to expand NMG program utilization while building trusted relationships.

The MSS also collaborates with regional vendor representatives to enhance Member support, strengthen partnerships, and assist in recruiting new Members, contributing to overall membership growth and long-term success.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains consistent communication with Members via video, phone, and digital channels
  • Drives growth within assigned accounts by expanding adoption of NMG services and programs
  • Supports Members in leveraging NMG tools and resources to increase sales, reduce costs, and improve profitability
  • Provides actionable insights and guidance during performance discussions and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Partners with Independent Retailers to recommend relevant group programs and services
  • Identifies, prospects, and recruits new Appliance, Electronics, Furniture, Bedding, and Rent-to-Own retailers
  • Presents NMG programs and services to prospective Members, highlighting value and growth opportunities
  • Consults with prospective Members to assess current operations and provide recommendations for improvement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Understanding of sales and marketing principles with eagerness to learn
  • Interpersonal skills with focus on customer support and follow-through
  • Comfortable communicating via email, phone, and virtual platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience in Sales or Marketing (internship, part-time, or entry-level)
  • Exposure to Furniture, Mattress, or Appliance industry (retail or manufacturing)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools


Work Environment:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. 

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
