A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking experienced Network Administrators to support the FAA’s Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) – Tower Simulation System (TSS) initiative.


This position supports:

  • Network connectivity integration for 96 retrofit TSS sites
  • System deployment at 30 new development sites
  • Implementation support for 86 additional tower simulators
  • Integration of TSS environments into the FAA Mission Support Network
  • EDR connection setup and ongoing data management


The Network Administrator ensures each TSS site is properly integrated into FAA enterprise network architecture while maintaining security, reliability, and operational continuity.


Responsibilities:


Network Integration & Deployment

  • Configure and validate LAN/WAN connectivity for TSS systems.
  • Support Mission Support Network connectivity for retrofit and new installations.
  • Configure routers, switches, VLANs, and firewall rules.
  • Support EDR connection setup and validation.
  • Validate IP addressing schemes and network segmentation.


Site Implementation Support

  • Coordinate with Implementation Engineers, Vendors, and FAA stakeholders.
  • Provide network readiness validation prior to installation.
  • Support cutover activities and network activation.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and performance issues.


Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with FAA cybersecurity and network policies.
  • Maintain Public Trust eligibility.
  • Support secure configuration baselines and documentation.


Documentation & Reporting

  • Provides input to:
    • Weekly site reports
    • Status reports
    • CAI/JAI documentation
    • Legacy disposition documentation (as applicable)
  • Maintain accurate network configuration records.


Skills Required:

  • College degree (or equivalent military or field experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive network administration experience.
  • Experience with enterprise routing and switching.
  • Knowledge of VLAN configuration, subnetting, and IP routing.
  • Experience integrating systems into enterprise networks.
  • Ability to support live operational environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.


Skills Preferred:

  • Prior experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other Federal aviation or critical infrastructure programs.
  • Experience supporting NAS systems or air traffic control environments.
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems or simulation platforms.
  • Experience with firewall configuration and enterprise security controls.
  • CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting system cutovers, decommissioning, or legacy system disposition activities.
  • OSHA safety training or equivalent field safety certifications.


Work Environment & Travel

  • Work is primarily performed on-site at FAA facilities across the NAS, with additional work at contractor or integrator facilities as required.
  • Position requires frequent nationwide travel to FAA sites in support of surveys, remediation, installation readiness, and disposition execution.


Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.


The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
