| Job Summary: |
Manage testing of HEAplus and APEP changes including setting unit goals and tracking performance, oversee Eligibility Systems Support (ESS) operations including responding to emails from external and internal customers as well as managing exception report issue resolution.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Management oversight of testing of Health-e-Arizona Plus (HEAplus) and AHCCCS Provider Enrollment Portal (APEP) business requirements changes. Set program goals, objectives and strategies related to the state-wide operation of HEAplus and APEP. Implementation of related policies, procedures, and processes related to HEAplus and APEP.
• Management oversight of ESS which includes the resolution of daily transaction reject and exception reports and monthly and quarterly reconciliation reports.
• Management oversight of the staff who perform data analysis, request HEAplus reports, and monitor and report on Systems Support projects.
• Delegating work, monitoring the outcome of assignments. Meet with staff individually or in groups to discuss goals, objectives, implementation plans, problem identification and corrective actions. Resolve employee relations issues, hiring, discipline, performance appraisals.
• Conduct and/or attend meetings related to health care systems, HEAplus, eligibility policy changes, and all other Medicaid groups. Facilitate and champion the AMS process within the unit while supporting the DMPS Vision and AHCCCS Values.
• Represent the division in AHCCCS' Medicaid Enterprise System modernization effort, ensuring DMPS' expectations are represented and HEAplus and APEP considered in the DED and ensuring the solution will achieve compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements to improve interoperability and sustainability of technology solutions that support Medicaid service delivery.

| Selective Preference(s): |
Minimum: Four years professional experience related to health programs appropriate to the assignment, which included program planning or administration; a Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Preferred: Undergraduate education involving organization, development business, health care, or public administration or equivalent work experience; 3 years managerial experience, including 2 at a manager level directing a multiple unit, complex organization; and strategic planning.

• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
