Job Summary
The Peer Support Recovery Specialist (PSRS) provides recovery support and life skills education to include the dimensions of wellness to housing participants recovering from mental health, substance use, and/or co-occurring disorders. These participants are individuals who are voluntarily transferred from an inpatient mental health facility with high acuity. The PSRS works to build recovery capital with housing program participants, connecting them with recovery community organizations, peer support agencies, and support networks. PSRS serves as a role model and mentor to participants within the housing programs. The PSRS will provide one-on-one coaching sessions with participants. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the facilitation of skills groups for participants in the housing program.
