Job Summary:

The Provider Enrollment Administrator responsible for the oversight of the DMPS statewide Provider Enrollment Unit. This unit is responsible for performing complex coordination and implementation of the Provider Enrollment Web Portal (APEP). Provides assistance and guidance to executive management and directly supports the Operations Deputy Assistant Director’s (DAD) efforts on a variety of administrative and management issues, projects and initiatives related to the enrollment, support and termination of providers, investigations of provider enrollment and provider healthcare fraud and provider mismanagement.

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provides Administrator level leadership managing staff. Provides direction and oversight of their work. Hires, trains, coaches, communicates, evaluates and provides corrective actions. Also, provides guidance and technical support to staff on matters related to Provider Enrollment.
• Continue to support and enhance the provider enrollment system with processes, rules and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
• Special projects and initiatives; Internal and external audits; conduct complex provider analysis and document findings; Coordinate with Office of Inspector General (OIG).
• Review, approve and write comprehensive reports which are provided to licensing agencies; CMS; Perm; and External staff and Federal Auditors.
• Facilitate and champion the lean process in Provider Enrollment and provide guidance, insight, and support to the lean goals at the administrative, regional office and operational levels. Participate as part of the DMPS Senior Management Team directing the culture and operation of the division.
• Mentor managers and supervisors to develop an operationally efficient and highly performing engaged workforce. Coordinate relationships internally and externally.

• Research methodologies.

• Arizona Revised statutes, State and federal rules, statutes and guidelines related to AHCCCS Provider Registration.
• Organizational and administrative procedures.

• To interpret CMS guidelines.
• To oversee PERM Audits and State Audits as necessary.
• Compose clear and concise responses to audit reports and relevant audit information to support AHCCCS and Program Integrity aspects of an external audit.

Selective Preference(s):

Arizona Drivers License.

Minimum:
• Four years professional experience related to health programs appropriate to the assignment, which included program planning or administration; a Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment may substitute for one year of the required experience.

Preferred:
• Undergraduate education involving organization, development business, health care, or public administration or equivalent work experience; 3 years managerial experience, including 2 at a manager level directing a multiple unit, complex organization; and strategic planning.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
