📍 Remote | Full-Time | Reports to: Director of Patient Access
🕘 Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

FlexCare is seeking a highly organized and strategic Manager of Patient Access to lead our dynamic Intake Department—including benefit verification, prior authorizations, and copay operations. If you’re passionate about optimizing workflows, supporting high-performance teams, and driving patient-centered access, this role is made for you!

 

🌟 What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the entire intake process from referral to scheduling—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company standards
  • Lead and manage payer authorization submissions (manual and electronic)
  • Identify and resolve referral escalations requiring advanced intervention
  • Analyze and respond to authorization denials using reason codes and team/payer data
  • Collaborate with Billing & Collections to resolve patient complaints related to intake
  • Serve as intake subject matter expert to internal teams and external partners
  • Monitor intake KPIs and help prepare quarterly reports for leadership
  • Provide strategic oversight to all intake functions, ensuring compliance and efficiency
  • Support and supervise special projects as needed

 

📋 Who You’ll Lead

You’ll guide the Intake leadership triad—supporting the AIC and SP Intake Teams:

  • Intake Specialists
  • Authorization Specialists
  • Copay Assistance Team
  • Supervisor of Intake

 

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

 Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
 Experience:
 • 2+ years in infusion or healthcare services working with insurance and customer service
 • 2+ years of experience managing or leading teams (preferred)
 Soft Skills: Proactive, organized, adaptable, excellent communicator

💻 Work Environment & Expectations:

This is a remote role. You’ll use standard office equipment (computer, phone, video tools) and collaborate virtually with team members across time zones.
