Introduction

Position: Senior Graphic Designer (Motion Graphics & AI Design)

Location: Remote

Work Hours: Full-Time | 06:00–14:00 SAST (Monday–Friday)

Reports To: Creative Director

Salary: R26,500 per month (Non-Negotiable)

Position Overview

Our Australian client is a fast-growing creative agency working with established brands across sport, retail, hospitality, events, professional services, and consumer markets.

They are seeking a highly creative Senior Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and can confidently move between multiple brands, projects, and creative styles without compromising quality.

This is not a production-only design role.

We're looking for someone who combines strong visual design capability with creative problem-solving, commercial awareness, motion graphics experience, and the ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and creative output.

You will work directly with the Creative Director and broader design team to deliver high-impact creative assets across digital, print, branding, campaigns, social media, and motion graphics.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality creative work across multiple brands and industries.
  • Create visually striking marketing collateral, social media content, digital advertising assets, presentations, brochures, and campaign materials.
  • Develop motion graphics, animated content, and short-form video assets.
  • Utilise AI-powered creative tools to improve workflow efficiency and creative execution.
  • Interpret client briefs and transform them into commercially effective creative solutions.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing deadlines.
  • Take ownership of projects and proactively solve problems rather than waiting for direction.
  • Accurately manage tasks, deadlines, and project updates within Trello.
  • Maintain organised file structures and adhere to company processes and naming conventions.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, account managers, and stakeholders in Australia.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years' experience in a Graphic Design, Senior Graphic Design, or Agency Design role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-end creative work across multiple brands.
  • Advanced Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator skills.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and animated content.
  • Experience using AI creative tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Gemini, Runway, Veo, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of branding, layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and marketing design.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to receive feedback professionally and implement revisions quickly.

  • Agency experience.

  • Video editing experience.
  • Experience collaborating with international teams.
  • Experience presenting creative concepts and rationale.
