By facilitating efficient virtual care delivery, the Medical Assistant helps improve patient outcomes and satisfaction while supporting the operational goals of Access Medical Acquisition. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual care technologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or virtual environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
  • Previous experience in a virtual care or telehealth setting.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
  • Proficiency in multiple virtual communication platforms and scheduling software.
  • Additional training or coursework in healthcare informatics or patient engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule virtual patient appointments, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
  • Assist healthcare providers by preparing and updating electronic health records with accurate patient information.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions and support for accessing virtual care platforms and services.
  • Monitor and respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, or virtual communication tools in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support clinical staff by managing virtual care workflows, including documentation, referrals, and test result follow-ups.
