CoAct is seeking a skilled and people-focused HR Advisor to support our mission by delivering high-quality human resources advice, guidance, and service. This role plays a key part in building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that enables our leaders and employees to perform at their best.

Working as part of the People & Culture team, the HR Advisor provides timely, practical support across the full employee lifecycle and partners closely with managers to deliver contemporary, compliant and values-aligned HR practices.

Exploring the role

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide advice and support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and wellbeing.
  • Support managers to resolve people-related matters with sound judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and workforce programs.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with relevant legislation and align with organisational values and strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to our people and culture initiatives and organisational projects that enhance employee experience.
  • Support a safe, engaged, and capable workforce through proactive HR support and strong relationships.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
  • Experience assisting with low-to-moderate complexity employee relations matters, including case notes, documentation and supporting meetings.
  • Confidence in guiding leaders through performance conversations, feedback processes, and capability development.
  • Strong experience managing HR administration tasks such as contracts, variations, maintaining employee files, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting end to end recruitment processes whilst delivering smooth onboarding and induction support.
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and best practice people management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to diverse stakeholder needs.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and confidential approach to HR support.
  • A commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and positive workplace culture.
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or Business with related Human Resources components.
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or have industry experience.
